This ancient tirth belongs to the times of a 1000 years ago. The peaceful atmosphere of the beautiful place on the bank of the Krishna River is most suitable for sadhana. The idol is artistic and the atmosphere is pleasing. Compared to many other Hindu tirths of Andhra Pradesh, this is a very ancient tirth. The sweet rippling sound of the Krishna River, fives great place to the worshipping souls. In Andhra Pradesh, this is the only ancient tirth on a riverbank. On the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Magsar, a fair is held here every year.
