Sacred History
Famous for a miraculous pratima that is slightly in the air hence titled as antiksh ( means sky).
Raja Khardushan (a relative of Ravan) created the pratima from balu to worship while traveling as he vowed not to have food before prabhu darshan .
After rituals this pratima was kept safely in nearby lake
Raja Shripal, suffering from leprosy, was cured by bathing in the lake where the idol was kept.
Unknown to reason he performed attham tap and rediscovered the pratima .
later Acharya Abhaydev suri performed the Pratishtha in VK 1142.
At that time man sitting on horse could pass from under the pratima as it was at that height in the air .
In VK 1715, Shree Bhavvijay ji Maharaj performed a Jirnodhar and pratishta in which the height decresed ; currently, only a cloth can be passed .
