Sacred History

• Prabhas Patan was also known as Devpatan in ancient times.
• Shree Chandraprabhu Swami's idol was brought here after V.K. 845 from Valbhipuri.
• Shree Dokadiya Parshwanath is situated on the left side of the Moolnayak.
• The name Dokadiya comes from the ancient custom where a Shravak who worshipped Bhagwan daily would receive a dokadiya (coin) from Bhagwan's hand.
• This continued for a long time, but one day he revealed the secret. From that day onward, the coin remained stuck in the Pratima's hand.
• Even today, it is visible.
