Sacred History

• The first Pratishta of Kareda was performed in Vikram Samvat 861 (over 1,200 years ago) by Kheem Singh (Oswal) under the pawan nishra of Pu. Jayanand Suriji Maharaj.
• In VK 1039, a Jirnodhar was completed, and Acharya Yashobhadrasuri Ji Maharaj performed the re-pratishta of the Moolnayak Bhagwan.
• A seven-storey Jinalay was built by Zanzar Shah (son of Mahamantri Pethad Shah) in the 14th century.
• The last Jirnodhar was done in VK 2033, followed by a re-pratishta performed by Acharya Shree Sushilsuriji Maharaj.
• Pillar inscriptions dating to Vikram Samvat 55 suggest there may have been a prachin jinalay at this location 2,000 years ago.
