Sacred History

  • It is said that the height and color of the Pratima match the Jivit Parshwanath Bhagwan (the living one).
  • This Pratimaji is said to be at least 2,000 years old and was carved from marakat mani (gem) by Dharnendra Dev himself.
  • A Jain Acharya later requested Dharnendra Dev to transform the precious gem Pratima into a normal marble type due to the risk of theft.
  • Through divine bhakti to Parshwanath Bhagwan, Raja Ajitsen and Rani Padmavati were blessed with a child after a long time.
  • A Jirnodhar was performed under Acharya Abhay Dev Suriji Maharaj, followed by many others.
  • The Jain Sangh once lost custody of the Jinalay but later regained it.
