Sacred History

  • In the city of Champa, there was a forest named as Kadamgiri in which Parshwanath Bhagwan was doing his Sadhna in the taleti of Kali Hill.
  • An elephant named as Mahidhar, acquired Jatismaran Gyan by seeing Parshwanath Bhagwan.
  • His heart was filled with devotion and he went to a lake and brought many lotuses to perform Bhagwan’s pooja.
  • The next day Karkandu Raja of Angdesh, came in this forest for Prabhu darshan but Bhagwan’s Vihar has already happened.
  • He praised Elephant’s good fortune and also felt guilty for his ownself.
  • for his happiness a dev encraved a beautiful Pratima which is known as Kalikund Parshwanath (Kali means Mountain and Kund means Lotus Lake).
  • After this birth of elephant, he became the Vyantar Dev and also the Adhisthayak of this Tirth.
  • Actual place of this tirth is unknown but on his name, there is a famous tirth in Dholka, Gujarat known as Kalikund.
  • The Mulnayak of Kalikund, Dholka was actually in a small deri of Adinath Bhagwan’s Jinalay, Bhaalapol.
  • Later new Jinalay was built and Partishtha of this Bhagwan was done as Mulnayak in Vk 2038.
  • MANMOHAN PARSHWANATH TIRTH
  • Before 2003 Bhagwan was in a small deri. Then Manmohan Parshwanath Bhagwan became the Mulnayak.
