Vishaldev, the Raja of Ajmer, established Visalnagar (now Visnagar) around VK 1080 by defeating bhim dev raja of Gujarat as he refused to support him against the Mughals
Kalyan Parshwanath previously resided in Mehsana, which was established by Mehsaji Chavada before the 13th Century.
During the Mughal attack (approx. 14th –15th century), the Pratima was secured in a well.
In VK 1863, it was placed in a Jinalay built by Sheth Galachand ji in Visnagar.
The name Kalyan Parshwanath comes from the belief that those who worship the Pratima attain salvation.
