Sacred History

• Vanraj Chavda who was the establisher of Patan city near about 1200 years ago brought this Pratima from Panchasar, where his father Jaishikhari was the king.
• The Jirnodhar of that Jinalay was done by Vastupal-Tejpal, etc.
• At the time of Muslim Invasion, Jinalay was broken but the Pratima remained safe.
• Later Pratishtha was held again.
• At present there are many Jinalay nearby.
• There is also a Guru murti of Kalikal Sarwagna Hemchandrasuri Maharaj, AA.Hirsurij Maharaj, etc., and a Prachin Pratima of Saraswati mata.
